TEACHING MAINTENANCE
Making sure your technical staff has the required skills is what Espersen wanted when they contacted Petur Larsen to help them with the task at hand. They wanted to invest in their employees by giving them better competences to do maintenance on their BAADER machinery.

The increasing demand for higher efficiency and making sure your staff has the skills to keep you ahead of your competition is no easy accomplishment. Espersen in Lituania wanted to upgrade their technical staff so they could get even better at doing maintenance work on their BAADER machinery.

Being dependant on external help to ensure the daily maintenance and keeping the machines delivering a consistently high yield demands skilled technicians. You need the proper knowledge to analyse the condition of the fillets coming from a filleting machine and from that know what adjustments on are necessary to keep a high yield. Espersen contacted Petur Larsen and asked if it was possible to bring an expert to the Espersen plant in Poland. The request was to do a one week workshop together with the Espersen technical team.
An expert from Petur Larsen prepared material as a foundation for the workshop that to the contestants got delivered on the first day of the workshop. After a brief introduction, the technicians from Espersen in Lituania and the expert from Petur Larsen got their hands dirty. The following days an intensive workshop was held where a BAADER 184, 185 and 189 were trimmed, adjusted and optimised until they delivered the most beautiful fillets.

The expert from Petur Larsen divided the content into smaller parts where the teacher first showed the contestants how to do a specific maintenance task. After the introduction, the technicians from Espersen would perform the same task supervised by the expert.

When the workshop finished the technical staff from Espersen had all the necessary knowledge and also hands-on experience. They now can take care of the imminent maintenance work to keep the filleting machines produce at a high yield.
